My Land My Hands My Plate

Tandanya, Adelaide’s key resource for showcasing local Indigenous art, culture and entertainment, will provide the venue for these evenings of storytelling and understanding. Meet local Kaurna people who are chefs, food handlers and gatherers and learn about their traditional methodologies and beliefs. WIRRA MAI Indigenous Catering and event management group's Head Chef kaurna Women Mina Inviratji Harradine will build the menu  around the involvement of local Aboriginal Kaurna people gathering, sourcing and utilising food suppliers and ingredients. This will be combined with an interactive and authentic Kaurna experience that discusses food through story tellers, dancers and artists. A unique view of what South Australia has to offer, and the history of the region from the traditional owners of the Kaurna lands.
