Beer’s approach to food is simple – eat seasonal, pick at peak ripeness and let the produce shine. Self-taught, Beer has taken every inspiration from her home in the Barossa Valley and is
recognised for her focus on cooking with seasonal produce, that has in turn, helped to educate so many Australians to make informed food choices.
Maggie hopes to change the way people think about their food, and that philosophy has led to the establishment of her own Foundation, with a focus to bring the benefits of a good food life to all, no matter what stage of life.
In 2017, Maggie Beer handed the patron duties over to Cheong Liew.
