New to Tasting Australia - A culinary travel bloggers' forumNew to Tasting Australia 2014 was “Words to Go presented by PIRSA" – a culinary travel bloggers’ forum.
Open to Australia’s best food and travel bloggers, but with strictly limited positions available, delegates heard from expert writers and photographers whose hugely successful blogs and social media accounts are followed by thousands.
The forum offered participants the opportunity to learn from leaders in culinary tourism blogging, build on their photography skills and learn how to leverage social media to better connect with their readers and other professionals in both the tourism and food industry.
Presented by PIRSA and held in Adelaide, South Australia, from Sunday 27 April to Tuesday 29 April, “Words to Go” was part of one of Australia’s favourite food and drink events and featured a welcome reception as part of the opening of Tasting Australia, an action-packed, one-day forum followed by a day indulging in some of the finest food experiences South Australia has to offer.
Delegates heard from a range of influential national and international food and travel social media experts in a range of discussions and workshops, including:
- Katie Quinn-Davies - author What Katie Ate
- Lauren Bath - Australia's leading Instagrammer
- Robyn Eckhardt - author Eating Asia
- David Hagerman - photographer Eating Asia
- Caz Makepeace - author YTravel Blog
- Helen Yee - author Grab Your Fork
- Chloe Reschke-Maguire - Yelp Adelaide Community Manager
- Greg Snell - winner Tourism Australia's Best Jobs in the World South Australia position
