Curated by the festival’s creative team, Town Square is Tasting Australia’s go-to food mecca from 3–12 May 2024.

Situated in the heart of the CBD in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga, Tasting Australia’s free festival hub Town Square attracted more than 68,000 visitors in 2023, proving the public appetite for authentic, delicious food is unwavering.

Tasting Australia invites local restaurants, caterers, and food purveyors to apply to be part of Town Square in 2024, to offer the festival’s discerning and ravenous guests new, exciting, and moreish morsels.

We are asking you, the vendors who are the prominent face of the festival hub, to push yourselves by putting the absolute best on offer and showcasing quality South Australian produce.

Applications will be personally assessed by the Tasting Australia Creative Team to get the best mix of offerings and ensure that vendors' menus reflect the brand and ethos of the festival. The team is here to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have. We may potentially ask you to do a tasting to assist with the selection process.

Thanks again for your interest and we look forward to seeing what amazing offerings you present.

The sites are 6m x 3m each. You will have the ability to build your Front of House to suit your brand. You will have access to shared cold storage and a power allocation. A gas fitter can assist you with your LPG installations onsite and extra space can be booked for coal-fired cooking.

As a guide, we recommend charging $7 for a snack and around $20 for a large meal – but if you want to throw a lobster/wagyu or liquid gold in one of your offerings as a signature dish of the day or week, we understand and invite you to charge accordingly. This should be something exceptional that adds value to your regular menu. Dishes must be easy to eat, stand up, portable and fast to serve.

As part of our sustainability plan for the festival, Tasting Australia uses reusable tin enamel plates. This allows our public catering to do the right thing by our producers, land, sea, and the environment with a reduced disposable footprint. This provides real wins for our hard-working primary producers and showcases the very best service and delivery the state has to offer.

Vendors can serve from a deep large main plate or a flat entrée plate. These should accommodate various price points and sizes from a snack to a meal. More information on the enamel plates and cleaning service can be found in the vendor manual.

Vendor applications close on Tuesday 14 November 2022.
