Masterclass – Legends & Legacy

Mon 6th May 2024 at 4:30 PM

From $33

Join internationally recognised Master of Wine Andrew Caillard as he leads a masterclass reflecting on how graduates from the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy and Waite campuses have shaped modern Australian wine.

Caillard has a long list of career achievements, among them winning the prestigious Madame Bollinger Medal for excellence in wine tasting, co-founding leading Australian wine auction house Langton’s, writing several editions of the Penfolds bible The Rewards of Patience, and working as associate producer of feature film documentaries Red Obsession and Blind Ambition. He is a wine marketing graduate (1985) of Roseworthy Agricultural College – now integrated into the University of Adelaide – and has recently authored The Australian Ark, a first-of-its-kind three-volume work on the history of Australian wine from 1788 to the present day.

Joining Caillard will be Angus Hughson, the Founder and Publisher of Winepilot with over 15 years of drinks writing and judging experience.

This fully immersive masterclass tasting, featuring wines that reflect the influence of Roseworthy and Waite graduates in the development of modern Australian wine, will highlight the University of Adelaide’s profound connection with the wine industry dating back to 1883. Book signing will be available.
